Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying above a crowded coastal beach suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Videos uploaded on social media depict the aircraft starting to spin over Huntington Beach then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders stated five persons were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

Officials said the aircraft was connected to an regular “Cars N Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the following day.
