Labuschagne Omitted from Australian ODI Squad to Face India

The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from the three-match ODI series facing India, with in-form Queensland colleague Matt Renshaw receiving a unexpected inclusion.

Selectors dropped Labuschagne from the ODI squad following being dismissed for one in his two batting efforts during the recent series against South Africa in August. Labuschagne has a best innings of 47 in his most recent ten ODI batting appearances.

Labuschagne has featured in 68 one-day internationals and amassed 1,871 ODI runs at an average of 34.64, but will now focus on earning a Test recall ahead of the Ashes beginning in Perth on November 21.
